I don't think its happening everywhere as some countries not long ago allowed JW. I think it is happening in the countries where ministry is allowed for the last 30 years. I think when 30 years passes by local residents start to understand what its all about and dont show interest no longer

Anti-JW movie on Netflix?
by Ray Frankz ini'm watching the new netflix movie "come sunday".
it's one more film about a person who has turning point in life that demands the person to reevaluate his own faith and belief system.
in this case, the man is a petencostal bishop that gets very famous and has a big church preaching about salvation to heaven and punishment in hell.

If such a movie will come out I think they will publish on jw website and in magazines and make elders make an announcement that if members will watch this movie they will be disfellowshiped. My book was published a month ago where one of the characters is an ex jw. The local congregations went crazy. ( I am not disfellowshiped, but they consider me super bad). So how I understand local brothers and sisters started to tell each other and neighbouring congregations how horrible is my book when none of them read it. And even advised to close FB and IG accounts as my book is being advertised thereπ. So, my book is fiction and is not for JWS, but they behave as I made this book on purpose to troll them. Can you imagine how they will react if there will be a non fiction movie aimed against them? They will burn their telly or definitely cancel netflix subscriptionπ

You Know You're Starting To Wake Up When...
by pale.emperor inyou start listening to music deemed "unsuitable for christians".
you pretend to knock on the doors.
you explain a jw teaching to someone and realize how ridiculous it sounds.

You start to see how elders and the circuit overseers hate you because you constantly demand answers to Bible based questions π

How registering as a JW in Germany benefits the WT/Org
by OrphanCrow inin some european countries, "church tax" is levied against members of certain religions.
how each country handles this differs depending on each country's tax laws.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/church_tax.
in germany, a member of a religion that has "public law" status pays an additional 8 or 9 percent on their tax assessments.

I think I was terribly wrong...
by sinboi ini have once commented under the topic "are you better off as a worldly person or a jw?
i am a born-in but left nearly a year ago at age 16. i would say when i was a jw and was still fully convinced that it is the truth, i was happier.
i have a hope then.

The meaning of life is to live. You have to remember that even in the Bible when Abraham, Joseph, Job, David died it doesnt say they died happy because they found the truth, or they found Jehovah, or they were on the ministry, or Jehovah is happy with them etc. It says they died happy because they were "full of years" or "satisfied with life". Our mission is to have a full and great life. So before we will die we will appreciate our life and thank God for giving us this chance. π

My impressions of the cart witnessing
by Sour Grapes ini have watched tons of youtube videos of our exjdub friends approaching and talking to the jdub manikins at their carts as they give a great witness to the world by sipping their hot lattes, updating their social media, chit chatting to each other, and the most important thing of getting their time in, counting their hours.. when the jw's see someone approach with a camera they do several things, they will turn their backs on the person, or look at the person with a frown and act like the person isn't even there.
the witlesses refuse to answer simple, clear, and precise questions.
when i was an elder i loved to get into discussions and debates with trinitarians, priest, clergymen and those who were born again.

The Organisation will slowly turn into a usual religion where people go because their parents used to go. We might wonder why they are not eager enough to defend their views. Because the majority of JW fully understand that the organisation is just humans club that has nothing to do with God. Why are they still there we might ask? Parents, family, friends and fear that are the reasons. I am not disfellowshiped yet, I haven't done anything bad. But a few weeks ago when JW fully understood that I am not planning to change my mind I had crazy reaction from so called brothers and sisters. I received horrible full of hate text messages. I lost instantly dozens of friends on FB and IG. Do I care? No I don't. I am happy I am out. I just feel sad for brothers and sisters who have to go to the meetings and pretend they love it only because they are afraid to experience what I had a few weeks ago. Very sad πͺ
